At Raleigh Brewing, we strive to embrace our wonderful City of Oaks community. We provide exciting events that involve local homebrewers as well as local charities on a regular basis. Our attached 3,300 sq-ft. homebrew store provides knowledgeable service to our patrons & teaches educational classes on brewing & beer. Our brewery is located down the street from the PNC Stadium, Fairgrounds, Meredith College and NC State. We couldn’t think of a better place to be located! As Kristie Nystedt is the majority owner in Raleigh Brewing Company it make us the first female owned brewery in North Carolina.

We opened our doors on January 23rd, 2009 with a beer and a dream. Today, Lonerider has 21 employees and is one of the CED’s 25 businesses to watch. With an eye for quality, we’ve crafted each of our beers with the highest quality ingredients. Two of our brews, Sweet Josie and Deadeye Jack, have taken home some of the highest honors from the Great American Beer Festival.

Over the years, we’ve been overwhelmed by the number of outlaws with an enthusiasm for craft beers. With such a tremendous variety out there, we can’t even to begin to express our gratitude to the community that’s supported us. We’re proud to be located in North Carolina, which has undoubtedly become the Southern State for beer.

Big Boss Brewing Company was started in 2006 and shipped it first beer in the 2nd quarter of 2007 in the triangle area of North Carolina. It was formed as collaboration between Geoff Lamb, a UNC graduate, who returned to North Carolina in 2006 to join forces with Brewmaster, Brad Wynn, who has 12+ years of brewing experience including several years with Victory, Wild Goose and Native Brewing Company.

In 1993, three ambitious musicians opened a delivery/carryout-only pizza joint in the empty space of a former biker bar. The founders called their delicious creations ‘Lilly’s Pizza’ after one of their four-legged companions. Hungry fans couldn’t get enough and began bringing lawn chairs just to sit outside with Lilly and enjoy her Damn Good Pizza! With time, chairs & tables became standard along with local art, interesting music, and the continuing dynamic of Raleigh history.

In the case of Brixx Wood Fired Pizza, the “light bulb” went on while Operating Partner Eric Horsley was skiing in Aspen. Heading back to Charlotte, Eric shared his idea with Managing Partners Jeff Van Dyke and Barbara Bodford-Morgan. Together they conceived of a restaurant that that applied fine dining techniques and quality to casual, everyday food. Love of great pizza with a good beer is universal. So the goal was to keep it simple and fun, but add a unique style.

On a block in the historic train depot and warehouse district which has been somewhat forgotten over time, we plan to create a thriving, new culinary destination which will not only impress your palate but give back to the community as well.

As each of us worked to expand our culinary knowledge and began to explore new possibilities in the world of food, the more challenging it became to consistently find inspiring vegetarian food when we went out to eat. Although many places were beginning to offer more vegetarian and even vegan menu options, the choices always seemed both limited and predictable. We craved vegetarian cuisine which was fresh, creative, locally sourced and carefully prepared, and thought maybe there were other people in need of the same thing.
